Tip Forming a 9Fr Closed End Catheter

Customer Requirement:

Customer had several 1-up old tipping systems. We started by learning their volume requirements and offered our first catheter tip forming machine with a 4-up tipping process.

ONEX RF Solution:

Customer had other tippers as well but did not like some of the functions. We analyzed the older systems and designed a very nice machine with a quick change over cassette, tube clamps, slide position feedback and a die position control into the coil with sensor feedback.

We offered the following solutions. 

  • TF-803-X4 with all the bells and whistles that the customer had requested. .
  • We designed and manufactured new dies and water cooled coil to heat the dies evenly.
  • Helped the the customer validate the process.

Customer Requirement:

Customer had a very old tipping process using lead to heat the dies. The volume was going up and customer was looking for new solution.

ONEX RF Solution:

We provided our original catheter tipping system with 2-up die setup. We were able to actually triple the customer required volume of production.

We offered the following solutions. 

  • TF-803-X2 with removable die cassette and 250 kHz generator..
  • We designed and manufactured new dies.
  • Helped the the customer validating the process.
