Customer Requirements:

Customer had an old RF welder that was causing too many reject and arcing every 10 bags. The customer told us they actually bought a brand new RF welder and because it did not perform as expected they had to send it back and cancel the order. 

In addition to the reject rate, they had to do the printing in a secondary operation.

ONEX RF Solution:

We reviewed the application and for sure it was not an easy project because the product was using rigid molded ports and we had to develop a new method to RF seal the soft PVC film to rigid PVC and guarantee 95% OEE. provided a Turnkey Process to seal the products and supported the client in validating the entire RF welding process.

Customer was using a contract manufacturer to produce the pouches and was experiencing issues with seal integrity. They had multiple sizes and needed a single system that would seal print and die cut the edges for the next assembly process.

ONEX RF Solution:

We reviewed the product and offered 2 systems to produce the pouches:

1. Stand alone FFC-S2 Film feed cut station with hole punch station.
2. RFPS-Roto-X2 to seal the perimeter and print a logo on the pouch for 5 different size products.

We designed and manufactured the system and helped the customer validating the process and start making good product every cycle.
